Review Summary: Chasing the Dragon kicks up the frenetic pace that has continued to build throughout the series, but the feeling is like someone trying to race across a rickety rope bridge before the entire thing collapses. Review Summary: Williams’s The Crooked Letter suffers from his choice of main characters, a pair of “mirror” twins who are so selfish, introverted, and shallow that the novel never fully recovers even as one of the twins begins to make some strides towards becoming a responsible, interesting human being.

Review Summary: It started out well but quickly devolved into a rotating series of chapters following an overly-large cast of characters, all of which were well-drawn, but none of which was individually very gripping. Taken altogether, the novel was actually kind of lame, with both too much and too little occurring over too many pages.
