Marooned In Realtime by Vernor Vinge
1986, Bluejay Books
Review Summary: Overall, the novel raises, but does not delve into, a number of different technological issues that are worth considering and debating, but its true value is as a light, smart read, with mostly likable characters and a pleasant ending.
The Door Into Fire by Diane Duane
1984, Bluejay Books
Review Summary: The Door Into Fire appears to be Duane’s first published work, and while I don’t believe I will be pursuing the rest of the series, I will continue to look for her works in other genres. In particular, I highly recommend her Star Trek works for their excellent plotlines and finely drawn characters.
